We kick started this blog about a week ago and I promised myself that I would try and do something regular. The others have a knack for reviewing restaurants and seem to describe their experiences quite well. Me on the other hand am not as articulate so I found myself pondering how I was going to make a contribution. I could talk about the weather – I live in Melbourne so there’s plenty there. A brief introduction to this food blog if I may…
For some time now, a certain number of individuals have been sharing their unique random experiences through amobile phone app (iPhone, Android, etc); discussions ranged broadly from the weather to mundane chatter at work to special events. As a member of this esteemed group I have come to realise after about a month using this mobile phone app that over 80% of this group chatter dwelt on food. Everyday without fail, there will be an opinion, comment, photo of something that we found at a restaurant, at home, at the local shop with the main topic being food.
A topic inevitably arose whereby a question was asked as to whether we wanted to save these tidbits of experiences in a medium that was more permanent and accessible to all. Start a blog! It was a no brainer! So now we have a food blog with which to record our experiences with food and to have a bit of fun on the way. For me food and fun is something that’s virtually impossible to top. We will litter this site with food photos, restaurant reviews, recipes, perhaps even kitchenware reviews – basically anything that has any relevance to food.
Introducing myself… I am not a writer, photographer or food critic. There are others here more qualified than me. I help maintain the site and will be posting random nothings on my journey to discover the perfect food – an impossible quest but who cares as long as I’m still eating
